Philips Installs First Allura Centron Interventional X-ray System in Europe
Royal Philips (NYSE: PHG, AEX: PHIA) announces the first European installation of its new Allura Centron interventional X-ray (iXR) system - at the Clinique Pasteur in Toulouse, France. The Allura Centron system is designed for cardiac and electrophysiology procedures but can also be used effectively in neurological and vascular procedures. As part of the well-known Allura family of systems, it builds on proven technology to offer excellent image quality, ease of use and a familiar workflow. 
EMIS - the UK leader in clinical IT systems for joined-up care - has announced a major landmark in the rollout of EMIS Web. Over 3,000 GP practices have now moved to the company's transformational healthcare system. The full scale of EMIS Web's impact was revealed at the EMIS National User Group conference in Nottingham yesterday (3 October 2013) with the news that over 4 million consultations are now recorded on EMIS Web every week. 
Hertfordshire County Council (HCC) has invested in a countywide telecare service from Tunstall Healthcare, to support existing and future users of homecare services within the region. Developed in partnership with international service company Serco, the pioneering new service is expected to benefit up to 4000 people in its first year. 
Spire Healthcare in Harpenden, part of the UK's second largest network of private hospitals and clinics, now operates a fully digital radiography suite thanks to a raft of recent installations from Carestream Health. A CARESTREAM DRX-Evolution with Carestream's long-length imaging software has replaced ageing Phillips analogue equipment.
