Agfa HealthCare's ORBIS Solution Replaces Existing HIS/CIS at Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe

Agfa HealthCare announced that its ORBIS solution will replace the existing HIS/CIS (Hospital Information System/Clinical Information System) in the Städtisches Klinikum Karlsruhe, Germany. The 1500-bed hospital is a German 'maximum-care hospital', with 22 medical departments and four institutes providing care to 57,000 in-patients and 161,000 out-patients every year.

Report on the Public Consultation on eHealth Action Plan 2012-2020

In December 2009, Member States adopted the Council Conclusions on Safe and efficient healthcare through eHealth1, in which the Council specifically called on the Commission to "update the eHealth Action Plan". A public consultation is a mandatory exercise to give stakeholders the opportunity to give their opinion on any important European initiative. The public consultation was launched on 31 March 2011 and closed on 30 May 2011.
