iSOFT Expands in Nordic Region

iSOFTiSOFT Group Limited (ASX:ISF) has increased its foothold in Scandinavia and Finland, after an agreement with partners Picis to sell, implement and support its perioperative, anaesthesia and critical care solutions across the region.

Under its expansion plans, iSOFT has opened an office in Kista, Sweden and signed an agreement with Stockholm-based Exonor Technologies for local know-how. An established healthcare IT and clinical specialist, Exonor will provide staff, local knowledge and expertise with the full support of iSOFT's UK service organisation. iSOFT plans to further expand its presence and product offerings in the region.

The move reinforces iSOFT's ties with Picis, which began with a strategic alliance in December 2009. It gives iSOFT the opportunity to improve customer service and offer certified professional services and critical care, perioperative and anaesthesia solutions to both existing Picis' customers and new ones.

"The agreement builds on our partnership with Picis and gives us a platform to develop relationships with its customers but also explore opportunities in the wider market," said Adrian Stevens, Managing Director of iSOFT's UK and Ireland, Northern Europe, Middle East and Africa. "The various regional and national e-health initiatives across the region will demand interoperable solutions and experience of managing healthcare IT projects on a large scale, so we are well-placed to assist."

"Our current and future customers will be able to benefit from iSOFT's deep global experience in delivering IT solutions," said Liz Popovich, Executive Vice President of International Operations at Picis. "Together we are committed to providing the highest standard of services in this market, further strengthening our expanding partnership."
