iPLATO Enrolls 40 GP Practices onto its "Friends & Family Test" Service in Just Three Weeks

iPLATO iPLATO, the leader in mHealth and Analytics, announced today that it has enrolled 40 GP practices in its 'beta' service for Friends & Family Testing (FFT) between mid-August and the first week of September. New rules mean that GP practices in England must start capturing patient feedback on their performance, in a similar scheme to that used by Hospitals.

The high response rate to the ‘beta’ trial shows that GP's are interested in a simple, cost effective plug-and-play solution that ensures they comply with the new regulations prior to the December 1, 2014 deadline. The FFT service from iPLATO meets NHS reporting requirements, takes 10 minutes to set up, and requires no knowledge, technology or training from the practice all for fully inclusive, capped cost.

"The tight deadline for putting in place the Friends & Family Testing is clearly a challenge for our GP practice partners" says Tobias Alpsten, CEO of iPLATO. "Although David Cameron stated the intention of systematically capturing patient feedback through FFT across the NHS back in May 2012 this requirement only reached our Primary Care partners this year."

With iPLATO already covering 7,000,000 patients in the UK, the new service uses their existing secure, national communication infrastructure to quickly help practices meet this new statutory requirement.
