Capio Healthcare UK Installs BridgeForward's ClearSpan Server for System-wide Integration

BridgeForward SoftwareBridgeForward Software, Inc, a leading provider of application integration technology to the UK and US healthcare industry today announced that it has been selected by Capio Healthcare UK - one of the largest independent healthcare providers in the UK - to provide system-wide application integration throughout all of its healthcare facilities in the UK.

The new system now allows Capio Healthcare UK to integrate its operations throughout the UK on a stand alone basis. Previously, Capio Healthcare UK's applications were hosted in Sweden by its parent company, Capio Group. BridgeForward is providing both the enabling integration technology - ClearSpan Server™ - and the implementation services.

BridgeForward continues to expand its reach into the independent healthcare sector in the UK. In 2005 BridgeForward’s interface engine, ClearSpan Server was selected for system-wide use by the 49 hospital BMI Healthcare Group, the largest private hospital organisation the UK. More recently, ClearSpan Server was selected by Nuffield Hospitals to provide enterprise-wide application integration to all 40 of their hospitals. The Nuffield project employed ClearSpan Server to integrate a wide range of healthcare and administrative software applications including PACs and EMPI.

Taken together, Capio, Nuffield and BMI total 124 independent hospitals and treatment centres, representing approximately 90% of the independent healthcare facilities in the UK.
