NHS Transformation Professionals Team Up to Help UK Hospitals with Improvement Ambitions

Transforming Healthcare Consultancy (THC)A network of NHS transformation professionals has launched to support NHS and private healthcare providers in improving the safety, effectiveness and experience of care. Called Transforming Healthcare Consultancy (THC), the team of individual specialists will provide health service improvement, change management and digital transformation services.

By working together and pooling their skills and combined 150+ years NHS experience, the team are aiming to offer healthcare providers with a flexible way to access talent to support change or improvement programmes and projects.

Stephen Seagreen-Bell, managing director of THC, said: "We're a team of people who are emotionally-vested in helping to improve UK healthcare, and are united by our shared aim and ethos of transforming healthcare and innovating programme delivery."

THC brings together a pool of associates to offer a wide range of consultancy services from executive strategy to daily working practices, from large-scale deployments to roll-outs to individual users.

"Too often healthcare providers face the complex challenge of resourcing the right mix of skills to lead or deliver improvement programmes or projects. We think we can help overcome this issue by bringing some of the brightest minds in healthcare transformation together and contribute to building a more sustainable NHS," added Stephen Seagreen-Bell.

Among the first to work with THC is North Bristol NHS Trust, East Suffolk and North Essex NHS FT and West Suffolk NHS FT.

The THC team is considered a leading specialist in pathology transformation having been involved with the delivery of nearly 70% of the UK's LIMS implementations in recent years.

Those implementations ranged from retrospective validation for existing systems to replacement systems, whilst the level of support varied from light touch guidance to full document production and testing to support in-house experience.

THC has now expanded its services, many of which are available on the government's G-Cloud 10 and Digital Outcomes and Specialists frameworks, to include:

  • Strategy and Engagement: strategic development, stakeholder engagement, procurement, contract review, business case production;
  • Operational: operation management, programme management, project management, technical support, training and development;
  • Digital transformation: IT change management, system validation, system implementation, integration, technical solution design.

THC has also revealed a new identity and refreshed website for the organisation as part of its growth plans.

"The new brand represents our key values that we are a dedicated team of professionals who are friendly, experienced, good to work with, but above all have an emotionally-vested interest in helping the NHS to change for the better," concluded Stephen Seagreen-Bell.

One core value for THC is to share the team's vast experience and knowledge to help as many healthcare professionals deliver successful transformation projects.
