Advanced Health & Care Launches Care Portal for Both Care Workers and Service Users

Advanced Health & CareAdvanced Health & Care (Advanced), a leading supplier of IT systems for the care sector, has launched Staffplan Care Portal, a web-based portal, which provides service users and care workers with real-time access to information. The portal will enable care organisations to improve transparency and communication.

The portal will provide users with instant access to their care delivery via a secure single service user login. Service users can view which care worker will visit them, at what time and what tasks they have been scheduled to complete that day. They can also view their invoices and the personal information held by the care provider.

Care workers will also be able to securely log into the portal from any location via a PC or mobile device to see a more in depth version of their schedule and information about the service users they will be visiting. The portal also allows care workers to view their personal information, including their payslips, training and work documentation.

Staffplan Care Portal compliments Advanced’s innovative point-of-care solution, iConnect, which delivers live rosters and data to care workers via their mobile phones and records their actual arrival and departure times at customers’ homes. Any information from iConnect is fed back to the back office staff through the Staffplan solution, which includes rostering, administration, monitoring and point-of-care modules.

Jim Chase, Managing Director for Advanced Health & Care, says, "Staffplan Care Portal offers an easy-to-use system allowing both care workers and service users to access real-time information about scheduled, current and completed visits.

"Care Portals deliver extra reassurance for service users and their families by providing them with full details of the care worker delivering their care, ahead of the visit. We purposely designed the portal to improve transparency and communication as well as meeting the operational needs of an ever changing homecare sector."

Staffplan Care Portal forms part of Advanced’s Staffplan product solution, which is used by 1,000 care organisations across the UK.
