Northridge Healthcare Ltd Delivers Efficient and Quality Care with CareSys

Advanced Heath & CareNorthridge Healthcare Ltd, an independent business providing short break services for adults with multiple and complex health needs, has gone live with Advanced Heath & Care's fully integrated software solution for care providers, CareSys. This solution is enabling the delivery of efficient and quality patient care.

CareSys provides residential, nursing and specialist care organisations with a complete end to end business application that includes care, financial, operational and management features.

Northridge HealthCare, which was established in 2010 and forms part of Danieli Holdings, has invested in several CareSys solutions including Care Scheduling, Staff Management, Time and Attendance and Payroll to support its hundreds of service users.

Neal Winch, Managing Director, Northridge Healthcare says, "We provide short respite breaks for people with complex health needs and so we have to be very efficient at what we do. Out of the five software products we researched, Advanced Health & Care's CareSys product stood out as being head and shoulders above the rest, enabling the delivery of efficient and quality care to service users."

Using CareSys, Northridge's care managers are able to conduct patient assessments electronically. Patients' care needs are assessed using laptops at service users' homes, enabling assessment information to be instantly updated on the central system. This paperless process is an efficient alternative to paper-based care assessments, maximising staff productivity whilst ensuring transparency of patient information.

Winch comments, "Quality of care is paramount and in order to ensure quality, you need the very best software systems in place. Advanced's CareSys product provides us with the necessary tools for delivering first rate, streamlined care. The automated nature of the solution removes the risk of human error, for instance, instead of care managers having to remember to review each patient's care plan, CareSys automatically prompts a review."

Northridge also plans to use CareSys to report on a broad range of key performance indicators (KPIs) so that it can keep a close eye on performance levels. Up to 40 different KPIs will be regularly monitored, such as staff attendance and absenteeism.

CareSys is just one of many solutions offered by Advanced Health & Care and is used by more than 3,000 residential, nursing and specialist care homes across the UK.
