Hospital IT Best Practices and Continuity of Care at Dutch eHealth Conference

HIMSS Europe6 - 7 November 2014 , Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
This year, the second annual HIMSS Amsterdam event will be taking place at the Hotel Okura. The 2013 conference, presented by HIMSS Europe, was the first HIMSS event in The Netherlands and brought together nearly 400 healthcare IT leaders from across Europe.

HIMSS Amsterdam 2014 will be addressing key themes which are most relevant for The Netherlands, as one of the frontrunners of ICT use in healthcare. The eHealth conversation is now more significant than ever for the Dutch market as they proudly have 11 HIMSS EMRAM Stage 6 Hospitals in the country.

This year's highly anticipated topics include:

  • Medication Safety: Closed Loop Medication in Home Care
  • Patient Safety versus New Privacy Regulations
  • Continuity of Care: Acute, Primary, Nursing and Social Care

The highly anticipated HIMSS Amsterdam 2014 will be discussing key themes most relevant to The Netherlands, one of the frontrunners of healthcare IT. The Dutch Secretary of State, Ministry of Health, Welfare and Sport, Martin van Rijin will be presenting the opening remarks of the event.

Join Russell P. Branzell, CEO, College of Healthcare Information Management Executive, and Jan A. Hazelzet, CMIO, Erasmus Medical Center Rotterdam as they deliver the opening keynote on the Dutch and US perspective of The Meaningful Use Programme.

Representatives from stage 6 and 7 hospitals in the country have been invited to share their best practices and Continuity of Care Maturity Model (CoCMM).
