President of Canada Health Infoway to Deliver Keynote at Global E-Health Forum 2011

The Global E-Health Forum announced Richard C. Alvarez, President and Chief Executive Officer of Canada Health Infoway as one of the keynote speakers at this year's conference.

Mr. Alvarez is a leader in Canadian healthcare. He is known for taking on challenging mandates and building successful organizations. He has established strong, collaborative relationships with the federal, provincial and territorial governments and other stakeholders as the foundation for solid progress. Mr. Alvarez will present "Transforming Healthcare in Canada through E-Health", discussing the challenges facing the health system in Canada and the role of information and information technology within a reformed health system.

Ljubisav Matejevic, founder and honorary chairman of the Global E-Health Forum is convinced that "Richard Alvarez will present best practices of the necessary transformation of healthcare systems in order to guarantee a sustainable healthcare delivery in the future."

The GEHF 2011 entitled "Designing Personalized Healthcare" will feature speakers from all over the globe. Their strategy presentations and case studies will be complemented by discussion forums, workshops and an exhibition of solution providers.

The third day is dedicated to various breakout sessions and guided tours at different locations (hospitals, among others) targeting the individual information needs of special interest groups.
