IST event workshops announced

A list of the workshops proposed for the European Commission's information society technologies (IST) event has been published. The IST conference will take place in Helsinki, Finland, from 21 to 23 November.

The programme will include a CORDIS workshop on 'Communicating European research and bringing ICT benefits to market', with speakers from a Technology Platform, an IST project and IST Results.

The workshop will present examples of how ICT results have been promoted to citizens, the public services and businesses.

Other workshops will address topics such as:

  • airport safety;
  • biomedical informatics;
  • international cooperation;
  • European foresight;
  • eHealth;
  • the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7);
  • transport;
  • intelligent textiles.

Interested parties are invited to comment on the proposed workshops.
