Two Good eHealth Cases in Educational Sessions at WoHIT 2008

As Good eHealth's main objective is to identify and communicate on good practices and their associated benefits, Good eHealth plays a prominent role in the educational sessions on the program of The World of Health IT 2008 Conference & Exhibition (WoHIT 2008). A good opportunity to take a close look at a number of interesting eHealth cases from the Knowledge Base.

Cases presented by the Good eHealth study:

  • ES 39: Internet EHR and nationwide PACS: eHealth projects from Estonia - November 5, 2008 at 12.00 – location A2

    In this session two remarkable eHealth solutions from Estonia, included in the good eHealth knowledge base are put in the spotlight: the Digital Health Record, which is an internet-based EHR, and a nation-wide PACS. Both systems exchange healthcare data through the country and amongst multiple healthcare stakeholders through the use of standardized digital documentation and a central database repository.

  • ES 58: Electronic patient records, more easily accessible information, changing roles for hospitals - November 6, 2008 at 10.45 - location A2

    This session will present two distinct electronic patient record implementation cases from England and Finland and take a look at how implementation improved access to information and transformed the role of the hospital in relationship to its patient. Both projects are included in the good eHealth knowledge base.
