World of Health IT conference and exhibition

The World of Health IT (information technology) conference and exhibition 2006 will take place from 10 to 13 October in Geneva, Switzerland.

This four-day event will gather clinicians, administrators, health information users and buyers, as well as relevant public authorities and policy makers from across Europe and the Middle East in an effort to bridge the gap between public policy and the realities of day-to-day implementation of healthcare through information and communication technologies (ICT).

Prominent representatives from major world bodies will provide insight into emerging trends, while managers, practitioners and technicians will provide case studies, tips and solutions. Participants will also have the opportunity to network and create new contacts in the field.

A total of 10 organisations will coordinate the event, among which are the European Commission's Information Society and Media DG and the World Health Organization.
