KLAS Names Carestream's Vue PACS as Category Leader for Global PACS in Europe and Asia / Pacific Regions

CarestreamCarestream Health has earned top ratings from healthcare IT and radiology professionals across the globe for its CARESTREAM Vue PACS as reported by KLAS, an independent research organisation that monitors healthcare vendor performance. KLAS issued a report that named Carestream as the "Category Leader for Global PACS" in Europe and Asia/Pacific regions - two of the world's most prominent markets.

The 2014 Best in KLAS: Software and Services report is based on user scores compiled from the feedback of thousands of healthcare providers at clinics, hospitals and local, regional and national healthcare systems.

"We have devoted significant personnel resources as well as research and development funding to create innovative, practical solutions that address the diverse image management, sharing and storage needs of healthcare providers worldwide," said Diana L. Nole, President, Digital Medical Solutions, Carestream. "We feel the KLAS ranking is an important validation from healthcare providers in dozens of nations that have recognised us as a leader in global PACS technology."

KLAS has a longstanding reputation for accurately and impartially measuring vendor performance. KLAS processes have been independently audited to ensure that KLAS provides a transparent window into what users actually think of products. The company’s reports represent the combined opinions of actual people from provider organisations comparing how vendors, products, and/or services performed when measured against the participant’s objectives and expectations.

Carestream's Vue PACS is used for managing, storing and sharing medical images and radiology information at some of the world’s largest and most respected local, regional and national healthcare systems.

Vue PACS provides a single intuitive workspace for the clinical tools and applications physicians and radiologists need for fully featured diagnostic reporting. The Web-enabled Vue PACS platform has integrated advanced visualisation, 3D post processing, volume registration, lesion management, dictation/voice recognition, critical results notification and a mammography module that eliminates the need for dedicated workstations. Carestream provides physicians with rapid, secure access to imaging exams on mobile devices or workstations with its zero footprint Vue Motion universal viewer. The company also offers a patient portal that equips healthcare providers to securely share imaging studies and other data with patients.
