Carestream Shows Latest Innovative Medical Imaging and Healthcare IT Technologies at UKRC 2014

CarestreamAt UKRC 2014 in Manchester, UK, Carestream will showcase a raft of innovation designed to help radiology professionals improve patient care, workflow and costs. On the booth there will be an opportunity for attendees to 'Test Drive' the award winning CARESTREAM DRX-Revolution Mobile X-Ray System to discover its exceptional manoeuverability, versatility and small footprint.

Other highlights include:

  • Carestream's technology platform of Vue solutions, designed to simplify RIS+PACS+reporting, featuring a new generation of Vue PACS designed to integrate images with reports and enable cost-effective teleradiology capabilities
  • An innovative reporting feature to its Vue RIS platform will enable Radiologists to insert hyperlinks to bookmarks with vessel analysis or lesion tracking measurement data into reports to help optimise treatment decisions
  • Expansion of Vue for Cloud-Based Services with the addition of Vue Motion, a zero footprint, vendor neutral viewer that provides on-demand access to imaging results and patient data anytime, anywhere, and the MyVue Patient Portal that allows patients to securely access and share their imaging results
  • The latest version of image acquisition software for CR and DR systems with bone suppression feature, designed to create a companion image to suppress the appearance of posterior ribs and clavicles while enhancing the visualisation of soft tissue in the chest
  • A new IHE Dose Reporting capability to collect and distribute dose information from all CARESTREAM DR and CR systems to a healthcare provider's PACS

Mr Peter Sharpe, CEO of Cobalt Imaging, will present at a Satellite Symposia on Tuesday June 10 at 1.30pm. His presentation will outline how Cobalt has invested in Carestream technology to allow patients access to their images online using the MyVue Patient Portal via a secure log-in. "UKRC is the major meeting place for radiology professionals in the UK and annually gathers together all the significant players in the healthcare market," said Jane Grimsley, Marketing Manager, Northern Cluster, Carestream.
