Carestream Shows Latest Innovative Medical Imaging and Healthcare IT Technologies at JFR 2013

CarestreamAt this year's Journées Françaises de Radiologie (JFR) exhibition, October 25-29 in Paris, Carestream will showcase the latest innovations to its portfolio of healthcare solutions on stand 1T01. For Healthcare IT Carestream's technology platform of Vue solutions will be highlighted including the MyVue patient portal that is implemented by healthcare providers to allow patients to securely access, manage and share their medical images and radiology reports with specialists and healthcare providers. Vue is a healthcare information technology platform that simplifies RIS+PACS+Reporting and includes new lesion management tools that can help enhance accuracy in assessing changes in cancerous lesions as part of diagnosis and treatment for oncology patients.

For digital X-ray capture both the DRX-Evolution and the DRX-Revolution will be on show, which are built around the DRX-1 detector platform that works with any member of the DRX family of in-room and mobile imaging systems. This flexibility is part of Carestream’s commitment to enhance productivity and maximise each healthcare provider's investment in imaging technology.

The new smaller-format 25 cm x 30 cm cesium iodide DRX 2530C Detector is designed to fit into paediatric incubator trays and offer higher DQE (detective quantum efficiency), which can lead to lower dose requirements than CR cassettes or gadolinium scintillator detectors. The new DRX 2530C detector is intended to be used with DRX-Revolution or DRX-Mobile Retrofit Kits for mobile imaging of neonatal or paediatric patients.

Carestream Dental will show he CS 9300 System - a high-quality cone beam CT (CBCT - 3D imaging) and true panoramic imaging system for ENT and dental indications. The system can be used for a variety of ENT and dental applications - including sinus, temporal bone and maxillofacial exams; dental implantology; oral surgery; orthodontics; periodontics and endodontics.

"JFR is one of the major meeting places for radiology professionals in Europe, Africa, the Near and Middle East and continues annually to gather together all the significant players in healthcare," said Ludovic d'Apréa, General Manager, Carestream Europe. "The exhibition provides a valuable opportunity for dialogue with customers and the ideal platform from which to showcase our latest innovations in medical technology."
