Carestream Health Announces Availability of New Web-Based Cardiology PACS

Carestream Health, Inc.Carestream Health, Inc., announced availability of its new web-based cardiology PACS that provides an efficient enterprise-wide image and information management solution for cardiology data. The CARESTREAM Cardiology PACS is now available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Netherlands and Italy.

The new cardiology PACS supports improved productivity through the ability to review echocardiography, cardiac catheterization, ECG, nuclear cardiology and hemodynamic results on a single workstation—with fast, easy comparison of priors. The new PACS streamlines workflow by supporting on-site or remote reading of cardiology data from any networked workstation inside or outside of the enterprise. Its ability to consolidate disparate cardiology systems into a centralized solution also can deliver lower total cost of ownership.

Carestream Health's cardiology PACS integrates seamlessly with its radiology PACS, allowing healthcare providers to use the same workstation for diagnostic reading and clinical review of cardiology and radiology studies.

The company also offers flexible CARESTREAM Information Management Solutions (IMS) that can manage DICOM and non-DICOM information captured by cardiology, radiology and a variety of other patient imaging and information systems. With this platform, hospitals and cardiology practices can consolidate data management throughout the enterprise to help reduce the high costs associated with separate archiving systems. Carestream Health's IMS offering also simplifies business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
