Health Care Technology Master's Programme for EU and non-EU Students

The objective of the masters curriculum is to prepare eHealth technology specialists who, having passed the curriculum, have acquired the know-how for working in different health care sector enterprises and have the knowledge about the client and patient cantered approach and manner of behaviour characteristic of the modern health care system. The Health Care Technology masters curriculum was composed in association with The Institute of Clinical Medicine, AS Medicum, East Tallinn Central Hospital, Estonian e-Health Foundation, Helsinki University of Technology and Karolinska Institute.

The masters curricular will be held in English. Enrolment for the new Health Care Technology curriculum will close for Non-EU on 1st of May and for EU students on the 9th of July 2010. To be considered for admission, the applicant must have a bachelor's degree, preferably in IT, Health Science, Social Science, Natural Science, Mathematics/Mathematical Statistics, Economic Science (management), Law, and Medical Science.

Additionally to lectures, the students must attend apprenticeship in one of the partner healthcare companies. This will create a valuable contact between the student and the possible future employer and also from the very beginning, students will learn first hand about eHealth.

The objective of the master's curriculum is to prepare e-Health technology specialists who have acquired the know-how for working in different health care sector enterprises and have the knowledge about the client and patient centred approach and manner of behaviour characteristic of the modern health care system and innovative thinking.
