MEDOS Makes Its Systems Ready for the Electronic Health Card

InterComponentWare AGThe medical software vendor MEDOS AG and the eHealth specialist InterComponentWare AG (ICW) signed a cooperation agreement. The companies agree to make the MEDOS systems ready for the electronic health card and link them to the personal health record LifeSensor and to the hospital networking solution ICW ProfessionalGate.

Dr. Dirk Bankamp, CEO of MEDOS AG: "We want to prepare our systems for the electronic health card and its voluntary applications as quickly and simply as possible, without always having to react to changes in the interface definition. Therefore, we have decided on ICW's Software Development Kit, which provides us with a stable interface to the standard infrastructure of the electronic health card, independent of the changing specifications.

ICW's Software Development Kit (SDK) is known for making existing systems of physicians, pharmacists, and hospitals quickly and conveniently ready for use of the electronic health card and its voluntary value-added applications in test regions. For instance, the physicians' system Qmed.Praxis and the ADG pharmacy systems were linked to the health card implementation of ICW and the personal health record LifeSensor after fewer than ten man days of programming effort. The ICW SDK is adapted continuously to the current specifications of Gematik.
