Agfa HealthCare Named #1 Enterprise Imaging IT Vendor in New 2015 Trends in Medical Imaging Technology Report

Agfa HealthCare's Enterprise Imaging solution enables caregivers to create, collaborate, exchange, and manage a comprehensive medical imaging record throughout the continuum of care. The company's platform solution is designed to empower physicians to make informed decisions through multi-specialty collaboration, helping improve delivery of patient care and streamlining costs.

The report, 2015 Trends in Medical Imaging Technology, was published by peer60 in November. The report reflects the views of provider leadership, whose authority represents more than 15% of radiology imaging departments across the United States, including chiefs of radiology, imaging directors, PACS administrators, IT managers, executives, and others.

The report recognizes medical imaging as a dynamic segment in healthcare IT, and notes that vendors are responding with new and innovative solutions. Agfa HealthCare is cited for contributing advancements to workflow efficiency by image-enabling the EHR with multidisciplinary images that can be accessed securely across the continuum of care. The company's solution provides image capture and image access standardization to help providers advance productivity and broad engagement. The report goes on to say Agfa has 'figured out how to both satisfy customers at a high level and offer innovative advancements in their areas of expertise'.
