Scopis, a company specializing in surgical navigation and medical augmented and mixed reality technologies, announced today the launch of its newest development, the Holographic Navigation Platform for use in surgery. Scopis developed this platform to offer greater precision and speed to surgeons, and better outcomes to patients undergoing open and minimally-invasive spinal procedures.

Devicare, a company specializing in innovative medical devices for chronic home care patients under Remote Patient Monitoring (RPM), has closed out a seed round of 3 million euros. This funding will be used to consolidate the launch of clinical studies of two of Devicare's main product lines on the Spanish market:

This competition has three categories. Two of them depending on the turnover of the companies: Champions (SMEs with turnover more than 0.5 M€) and Promises (with less turnover).

Patients in need of attention for everything from chest pains to seizures on wards at night, are receiving better and faster co-ordinated responses from nurses and doctors, now that Bolton NHS Foundation Trust has deployed a system called Patientrack. The trust is the first in the country to use the technology solely to help manage the hospital at night.
