Advanced Health & Care in Partnership with Medway Community Healthcare is Finalist in EHealth Insider Awards 2012

Advanced Health & CareAdvanced Health & Care (Advanced), in partnership with Medway Community Healthcare, has been named a finalist in the 'Best use of mobile technology' category of the E-Health Insider (EHI) Awards 2012. This announcement follows two rounds of judging, with only the top six from the first round making it through to the final and deciding round. The winner will be announced during an awards ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London on 4 October 2012.

The EHI Awards reward excellence in healthcare IT. Judged by a panel of distinguished industry experts, the awards are testimony to the strength and vibrancy of the market and the excellent work being done in UK healthcare IT.

Advanced and Medway Community Healthcare's entry, which focuses on Medway's use of Advanced's patient management solution, iNurse, is one of five that have reached the final in the 'Best use of mobile technology' category.

iNurse enables community clinicians to record and communicate patient care information using Smartphones and tablet devices at the point of care. Medway Community Healthcare, based in Medway, North Kent, uses Advanced's iNurse to help care for more than 270,000 patients. The solution has helped to achieve significant time savings, improve clinical care and enhance staff safety.

Jim Chase, Managing Director of Advanced Health & Care says, "We are very pleased to reach the finals of these awards in partnership with Medway Community Healthcare, especially as this year's awards have been the most competitive yet."

Chase continues, "Medway's staff are using iNurse to retrieve and record key patient information whilst on the move, which is allowing them to more effectively manage their time and appointment planning across the Medway area. iNurse is key to the efficient, cost-effective and safe delivery of community care, and it is just a matter of time before mobile patient management solutions, such as iNurse, become commonplace in the community healthcare setting."
