Advanced Health & Care Shortlisted in EHealth Insider Awards 2012

Advanced Health & CareAdvanced Health & Care (Advanced), a leading provider of IT management systems for the health and care sectors, has been shortlisted in the 'Best use of mobile technology' category of the EHealth Insider (EHI) Awards 2012 in partnership with Medway Community Healthcare. This is the third year running that Advanced has been shortlisted in the EHI Awards. The winner will be announced during an awards ceremony at the Grand Connaught Rooms, London on 4 October 2012.

The EHI Awards reward excellence in healthcare IT. Judged by a panel of distinguished industry experts, the awards are testimony to the strength and vibrancy of the market and the excellent work being done in UK healthcare IT.

Advanced has been shortlisted for its iNurse solution, a leading mobile patient management system, which enables community clinicians to record and communicate patient care information using Smartphones and tablet devices at the point of care.

Medway Community Healthcare, based in Medway, North Kent, uses Advanced’s iNurse to help care for more than 270,000 patients. The solution has helped to achieve significant time savings, improve clinical care and enhance staff safety.

Sue Craighill, Lead Nurse at Medway Community Healthcare, says, "iNurse enables me to demonstrate that our nursing teams are effective and are delivering real value for money. Using iNurse we can drill down to view number of visits per nurse; clinical activities; total contacts, including first and review visits; phone contacts and the source and number of referrals received."

Jim Chase, Managing Director of Advanced Health & Care says, "Making the shortlist of these prestigious awards highlights the vital role that iNurse is playing in delivering efficient, cost-effective and safe community healthcare. It improves productivity through reduced paperwork and travel time and by delivering timely patient care information, it also helps clinicians to deliver the right care at the right time."

Advanced saw a 200 per cent rise in number of mobile users in the last financial year and is continuing to invest heavily in its mobile solutions.
