TeleHealth 2009The latest eHealth solutions will be on display during CeBIT from 3 to 8 March in Hall 9. One of the focal topics will involve the use of telemedicine for the support and treatment of chronically ill patients. The demographic shift continues unabated, as the population continues to age and the incidence of chronic illness increases. But this development need not be considered dramatic, as confirmed by the TeleHealth congress and exhibition at CeBIT 2009.

ICT for Health UnitThe Prague Declaration has been prepared in cooperation with the EU Member States and commented within the i2010 Subgroup on eHealth. As the conference is not intended for the EU Member States only, the Czech Presidency has offered to the other countries participating in the conference the possibility to adopt this Declaration.

TeleHealth 2009From 3 to 8 March TeleHealth 2009 exhibitors will showcase the latest products and services under the programmatic motto "IT in healthcare delivery". The display will be divided into three sections: Telemedicine, Healthcare Management and Healthcare Project. Deutsche Messe will also welcome exhibitors who want to spend only two days at TeleHealth as opposed to the full six.

ICT for Health UnitThe Czech Health Minister has opened the 7th expert conference entitled "eHealth for Individuals, Society and Economy". The event, which is one of the Ministry's priorities, has brought together 500 participants from 37 countries.

Med-e-Tel 2009The NETC@RDS for eEHIC ID, an EU co-funded project, aimed at achieving the initial deployment of an online service for the electronic European Health Insurance Card (eEHIC), has announced that its Mid-Term workshop will take place in Luxembourg on April 2nd, 2009 within the frame of Med-e-Tel 2009, the International eHealth, Telemedicine and Health ICT Forum.
