eHealth Innovation Days 2017

7 - 8 September 2017, Flensburg, Germany.
The 2nd eHealth Innovation Days will gather the different professionals and stakeholders concerned with eHealth: developers, healthcare professionals, researchers, policy makers, citizens as well as companies and entrepreneurs are welcome. The floor is open to generate innovative ideas, discuss the current developments in eHealth and initiate new projects and partnerships.

Key Topics:

  • eHealth in the Baltic Sea Region
  • Innovative projects and companies
  • How to teach eHealth
  • Consumer- centered eHealth services
  • User involvement and usability

Among the interesting sessions the project group Consumer Health Informatics of the German Association for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS) e.V. will organize a workshop on consumer-centered eHealth applications. The workshop will focus on specific needs of different target groups as well as barriers and chances to effectively implement eHealth services. It will be an interactive session with some introductory presentations and group work sessions with time for discussions. Participants will assume different roles during the workshop and thus move into the situation of different stakeholders. The organizers explicitly seek to involve companies and invite them to actively take part in the workshop.

On Thursday evening, we will organize a social event for all participants, providing time and a pleasant atmosphere for informal networking and experience exchange.

On Friday a panel discussion about "How to teach eHealth", moderated by Prof. Dr. Roland Trill (Founder and Head of the IEMG), will be held.

The target groups are scientists and researchers in the field of eHealth, hospitals, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), patient associations as well as other persons interested in eHealth and/or the Baltic Sea Region. The eHealth Innovation Days will offer a platform for networking, for creating new partnerships and exchanging knowledge and experiences.
