A Look Back at conhIT 2015

conhIT 2015 was an all-round success. Exhibitors and trade visitors praised the quality and relevance of the topics at Europe's leading event for Health IT. At this year's conhIT a total of 388 exhibitors from Germany and abroad presented their products and services in Berlin. The number of exhibitors marked a new record, as did that of trade visitors which this year reached close to 7,500.

Besides the increase in numbers it was the overall positive reactions from the exhibitors and visitors polled by the annual survey that confirmed the growing quality and relevance of the event.

Thus, 89 per cent of exhibitors said they were highly satisfied with the overall event, while 92 per cent said the quality of trade visitors at conhIT was high. In fact, around 78 per cent of visitors occupied decision-making roles in their respective institutions and departments. Attendance by IT heads rose from 21 per cent in 2014 to 25 per cent this year. 24 per cent of trade visitors were IT employees, 14 per cent represented management and directors, while an overall 10 per cent were department managers.

The presence of so many highly qualified trade visitors meant that companies were confident of a positive impact after the event: 91 per cent of the companies exhibiting anticipated good follow-up business (2014: 84 per cent) and said they would most likely take part in conhIT again (2014: 89 per cent).

93 per cent of trade visitors said that compared to other trade fairs a visit to conhIT was very important. 97 per cent were very satisfied with their visit to Berlin. This was reflected in the grading of the three most important reasons for attending: Being able to obtain information on new products received a mark of 2.1, cultivating business relations received 1.8 and obtaining a general market overview received 2.1. (The highest mark being 1 and 6 the lowest mark on the scale.)

The individual sections at conhIT also gained good marks: the Industrial Fair received 2.1, the Congress 2.3 and the Academy 2.0.

Over 90 per cent of trade visitors are already planning their visit to the next conhIT which will take place on the Berlin Exhibition Grounds from 19 to 21 April 2016.
