World of Health IT Conference and Exhibition (WoHIT) 201110 – 13 May 2011, Budapest, Hungary.
European healthcare establishments are facing substantial challenges over the next decade, such as significant demographic changes and reduced human resources, forcing European leaders to re-design the European Healthcare landscape.

eHealth week 2011; the World of Health IT Conference and Exhibition in conjunction with the annual eHealth High Level Ministerial Conference, will offer an insight into how our leaders are planning and investing for the future, and will also present an exhibition which will showcase leading industry partners, offering innovative solutions for our future.

NEW in eHealth Week 2011
The event will address other related subjects during parallel symposia, and with topics such as AAL (Ambient Assisted Living), Health 2.0 and Leaders in Health IT.

AAL: Substantial demographic changes is a challenge which almost every European country faces within the next 10 years. At the same time, Europe needs to plan for a future with less human resources to care for the elderly. How do we get more out of less? What is the EC and the individual European countries doing to prepare for the challenge and what are the leading IT innovations which can solve the crisis? All this and more will be discussed at the AAL Symposia at eHealth week.

Health 2.0: Health on the worldwide web is here to stay and this workshop will address the benefits Health 2.0 can bring to patients, hospitals and healthcare organisations. The work shop will also look at the obstacles Health 2.0 is faced with from an end user and provider perspective. The goal of the workshop is to really let the audience understand how these applications can be used in real life and therefore, the workshop will consist of a number of real life demonstrations and practical examples.

Leaders in Health IT: The LHIT Symposia is a new forum tailored for Hospital IT Directors to share and discuss leadership strategies and how to ensure that IT solutions are implemented successfully from an efficiency, organisational and resource perspective. The event will feature some of Europe's leading Hospital IT Directors who will share the successes and challenges they are faced with on a daily basis, from deployment, implementation and interoperability on a local, regional and national level.
