New FP7 eHealth Project - Avert-IT

A consortium comprising six of Europe's leading hospitals, Glasgow University, Philips Medizin, and a Scottish SME - C3 Amulet Ltd. has been awarded a European Commission grant to lead a consortium researching the prediction of adverse events in the care of brain injury patients. The grant, totaling € 1.7 millions has been awarded under Framework 7, ICT-2007 5.1 Advanced ICT for Risk Assessment and Patient Safety.

SENIOR - Social Ethical and Privacy Needs in ICT for Older People: A Dialogue Roadmap is a two‐year FP7 project, coordinated by the Centre for Science, Society and Citizenship, which aims to provide a systematic assessment of the social, ethical, and privacy issues involved in these and similar technologies. The project's goal is to produce a dialogue roadmap that may drive European policy in this very sensitive area.
