The NHS is moving one step closer to preventing thousands of avoidable deaths after new government funding was awarded to an innovative UK company that is working with hospitals to prevent acute kidney injury (AKI), a devastating condition believed to be linked with as many as 100,000 deaths in UK hospitals every year.

The Grants4Apps® Accelerator is a mentoring program for digital health startups taking place in Berlin. This year's batch with five startups runs from August 10th until December 4th, 2015. Anoto, the leader in digital writing technology, today announced that the Welsh Ambulance Service Trust (WAST) has awarded a contract to roll-out 1,700 digital pens to ambulance crews across Wales.
