eHealth Week 2016 Programme Announced

The Dutch Presidency of the EU Council, the European Commission and HIMSS Europe have announced the programme for eHealth Week 2016, an event that will take place in Amsterdam. Experts from across Europe will share best practices, amongst others about eMental Health, the online prevention and treatment of mental health conditions.

The three best presentations, which will be held in the conhIT Networking Area, will receive prize money totalling 850 euros.
Virtual Reality Therapy could Help People with Depression
An immersive virtual reality therapy could help people with depression to be less critical and more compassionate towards themselves, reducing depressive symptoms, finds a new study from UCL (University College London) and ICREA-University of Barcelona. The therapy, previously tested by healthy volunteers, was used by 15 depression patients aged 23-61.
